The History of Pacific Animal Hospital in Oceanside, CA
In 2009 construction begins on our new hospital building.
Pacific Animal Hospital has been providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to many generations, serving Southern California’s North County area for over 45 years.
Our original 44-year-old facility finally wore out and could not be remodeled or expanded. The owners, Dr. Attix and Dr. Caskey, realized they could not provide the kind of superior veterinary care and expanded services they wished to deliver in the tiny, outdated facility. They embarked on a 3-year journey: reading; attending hospital design meetings; visiting veterinary hospitals; and working with architects, contractors, and consultants. This effort finally led to breaking ground on the new Pacific Animal Hospital in September 2009.
It was quite a challenge! Since the new hospital was built within just a few feet of the old building, it resulted in a steady stream of construction workers and trucks, as well as a loss of parking for almost a year. Our new building was finished in September 2010. The old building was then demolished, and the parking lot constructed in its place.
The new Pacific Animal Hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art veterinary facility providing enhanced comfort and expanded services for our clients. We offer our animal patients high-quality, compassionate veterinary care using advanced technology in a warm and comfortable environment.
